Outside of the window the moon shines it’s white brilliance into the night sky. I’ve come back from bicycling down the west coast, and have come back into being a human being who deals with his surroundings directly. In short much clarity has been gained. This will probably be my last message on tumblr, I have no use for it anymore. I enjoy the simplicity of my surroundings, and have no need to establish some internet identity. If you want to contact me you can do so directly at 1446 C Street Eureka CA 95501. Send me a letter, and I will send you one back. Thanks for taking a peek at my blog.

Sincerely,
Zachary Metz

(By the way, the photo below is a picture from one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever witnessed. Lake Crescent, Washington.)

Bling bling new iPod touch, new mac air, and my bicycle is almost tour ready.

And as she runs back into the pit of chaos, I will move forward to find god.

You know, even with all of those deranged fuckers out there, I still manage to have a good time.

I leave to Seattle in 6 days to ride my bike down the west coast to San Francisco. This blog will be put on hold for at least a month, but when I come back many pictures and thoughts will be shared. Thanks to everyone following.

Heart of Great Perfect Wisdom Sutra

Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, when deeply practicing prajña paramita, clearly saw
that all five aggregates are empty and thus relieved all suffering. Shariputra, form
does not differ from emptiness, emptiness does not differ from form. Form itself is
emptiness, emptiness itself form. Sensations, perceptions, formations, and
consciousness are also like this. Shariputra, all dharmas are marked by emptiness;
they neither arise nor cease, are neither defiled nor pure, neither increase nor
decrease. Therefore, given emptiness, there is no form, no sensation, no perception,
no formation, no consciousness; no eyes, no ears, no nose, no tongue, no body, no
mind; no sight, no sound, no smell, no taste, no touch, no object of mind; no realm
of sight … no realm of mind consciousness. There is neither ignorance nor
extinction of ignorance… neither old age and death, nor extinction of old age and
death; no suffering, no cause, no cessation, no path; no knowledge and no
attainment. With nothing to attain, a bodhisattva relies on prajña paramita, and thus
the mind is without hindrance. Without hindrance, there is no fear. Far beyond all
inverted views, one realizes nirvana. All buddhas of past, present, and future rely
on prajña paramita and thereby attain unsurpassed, complete, perfect
enlightenment. Therefore, know the prajña paramita as the great miraculous
mantra, the great bright mantra, the supreme mantra, the incomparable mantra,
which removes all suffering and is true, not false. Therefore we proclaim the prajña
paramita mantra, the mantra that says: “Gate Gate Paragate Parasamgate Bodhi
Svaha.”

Drank 2 cups of water, could have cried 3.

Coping with the insanity of a generation,
who’s only voice is incessant whimsical garbage.
How dare they put me on the spot constantly,
as they try to dig out shallow words.
I am not oil in the center of the Earth,
being stolen for your fucked up pleasures.
My love will be given,
not taken by force.
And as you pollute the skies just as you pollute my mind,
I will leave you once again,
to venture forth into the wild.

Bicycled more than 30 miles, lifted weights, ate healthy. I never thought training for my bicycle trip could leave me so pleasantly exhausted.
